Home Study

We will be sending in the application and getting our home study started soon. We have to have this finalized prior to applying to the USCIS. The home study can take from 6 to 8 weeks. I have started on the paperwork for our Dossier! Lots to do and so excited to do it!! Pray for strength and insight through these processes. I was sitting outside looking at the stars last night with the boys. It was so beautiful. I could not help but think somewhere overseas our little girl could be seeing the same stars or her biological mom could be hoping someone cares enough to adopt this little girl. God is amazing!! What he is doing in our lives and the lives of children across the world through adoption is amazing. Only God could orchestrate such a beautiful thing! Thank you God for including us in your perfect plan.

Step one

Received a family coordinator Thursday. She sent us all the paper work to start building our dossier. Looking at all the paperwork can be overwhelming! Pray for patience, I want to have it all done by October!! Pray all this goes smoothly. We will be choosing a home study agency and starting that soon. Pray for us and pray for Khloe! I can't wait to see her for the first time if only in a few pictures to start with!! We can be referred a child as soon as our Waiting Child application is in.

Day to Day

I am so thankful to be home with the family today! We have just been hanging out and doing a little house work. So many times I fail to pray and give all my daily "to dos" to the Lord. We often overlook the most important thing to just be still and listen for God's voice. I want to follow Proverbs 16:3 so that my daily plans, no matter how mundane, are done to glorify God. "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Please pray for us to commit daily to follow God's lead in all our endeavors.

Agreements Sent

We sent the agreements off to AW today! We should be assigned with a family coordinator within a week of them getting the agreements. Then we will begin all the paperwork to send to China. This step can take up to 6 months but can usually be done in 3 to 4 months. Pray for patience as we begin this step. We hear there will be a lot of hurrying up and then waiting. Please keep us in your prayers!!

Yard Sale June 2011

Thanks to all who donated and bought from our yard sale. You are playing a part in bringing a precious girl home. John 1:12 says "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." We have all been adopted into God's family when we accept Jesus. We are so thankful that God accepted us into His family! We are so excited to share the love of Christ by accepting a little one into our family. God has a plan and for our family it is to adopt Khloe. We can already see God working through this adoption. What a honor for God to allow us to be a part of His plan!! I can hear God saying, "For I know the plans I have for you, Khloe, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

Yard Sale June 2011

So far the yard sale has been a great success!! We have surpassed our original goal! Thanks to all who donated items and bought things! We are so blessed! I hope everyone can see through our adoption what God is doing!! Thanks:) One more day for the yard sale! Hope we can make our next goal!!!
