USCIS-NBC

Sent the paperwork for immigration to the USCIS last week, it has arrived at the USCIS and they are routing it to the NBC which will send a paper to Guangzhou allowing Khloe to immigrate to US as a US Citizen once we go to China and get her. Yay! Moving right along!!!!!!!!

So, excited Eric surprised me and ordered Khloe a nightstand and chest for her room! They will be delived in August. So, hopefully by them the walls will be painted and we will be well on our way to being ready for that baby to get here.

Pray for me and my family as we prepare for another child. There is so much to do just to get ready for her to come! And I don't have any hand me downs for her! I only have boy stuff!!!! So excited about getting this girl some things of her own.

Love and Blessings to you all!!!!!!

I-800

I-800 in the mail!! This is the request for immigration approval from the USCIS for Chen Lan Lan which is her Chinese name. We will keep the Lan portion as her middle name. She will be named Khloe Lan Peacock. Khloe means "blooming" and Lan means "orchid" so her name means "blooming orchid" how cool is that!! Leave it up to God to work out the smallest details! We also know that she is from Guangzhou City, in the Guangdong Province of Southern China. Guangzhou is a huge city the third largest in China. I have been trying to do a little research on the city etc. and will share a little with everyone soon. I am so excited about going to China. It will be so neat to experience the culture and land where my daughter is from. Happy Birthday my 2 year old girl! Coming to get you in about 2 1/2 months!!!

Meet Khloe!!!

"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him." 1 Samuel 1:27

Khloe Lan Peacock

Meet Miss Khloe Lan Peacock!! This is our girl! We recieved our referral acceptance today!!! Unbelievable how God has worked through this process!! My baby will be 2 years old in 10 minutes U.S. time!! Her birthday is June 21, 2010. She weighs about 22 pounds and is in an orphanage in Guangzhou City in China. Look at her standing there so sweet and like a big girl. Our family coordinator told us it would be approximately mid to late September when we would travel to get our daughter. We are so overwhelmed by how good God is to us! I can not wait to get my hands on this baby girl!

So, all this being said I will update everyone with pictures and information when I get it. China has approved us as her family and we are allowed to share her information with you! Now you have a picture to go with the name! Pray for this baby and remember she was one of many who need families here and around the world. But praise the Lord, when she was knit together in her mother's womb He had us in mind, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Psalm 139:13-14 Whatever the circumstances of her birth family, and we are so thankful for them giving us Khloe, God knew who her forever family would be. Thank you God for blessing us with this child! "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!"

Oh, and today is Khloe's birthday because it is now after 12am on June 21, 2012!

A note to Khloe:
Happy Birthday my precious baby girl! Mama can't wait to celebrate your Gotcha Day!! Then we can celebrate all your birthdays together! I love you and mama and daddy are coming to get you very soon! I pray God protects and keeps you safe and secure in His hands until we get you and bring you home. Thank you for being my daughter! And I hope and pray you quickly bond to us all and feel the love of a family  that has loved you even before we knew you! I love you my sweet girl. You will truly be as beautiful as an orchid and bloom in our home and lives. You will bless us so much more than we could ever bless you. We love you so much!

Waiting for RA

Been a while since I have posted! We have had a lot going on in the Peacock family! Please be in prayer for Eric's mom and grandfather. Both have been very sick and need continued prayers! We are still waiting on Khloe's referral approval from China. According to our family coordinator, it should be approved by China within the next week or so. As soon as we get that, I will send our I-800 to the USCIS and DS230 to America World. If you are interested in this process, I will be glad to discuss anything with you! This has been a long process but will be sooo worth it! Please pray for our Khloe. She is in an orphanage in China and doesn't know yet that her family is trying desperately to come get her. All she knows is life as an orphan so this will be totally foreign to her in more than one way. It is hard to imagine a child who has never known the love of parents and family. To think of a baby that may not be having all its needs met or feeling the security of a stable home and family. I can not help but think of all the children in the U.S. and around the world that need the security and love of a family. God created families and He is the father to the fatherless, but He has also called us to be the fathers to the fatherless. We are to reach out to those who have no family and be their family. God may not call us all to adopt but he has called us all to support adoption. There are many ways to be an advocate for adoption. Help support adoption by sending money to specific orphanages, volunteer locally or overseas in adoption or foster care programs, support families who are adopting or have adopted financially or in some other way, and open your heart and arms to a child who needs a family. There are so many scriptures referring to adoption in the Bible. Many I have shared on our Scripture page in this blog, but my favorite is James 1:27, "Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." If we would just get a hold of God's heart for adoption and reach out to an orphan or fatherless child what would our world look like?
