2012!!!

Happy New Year! I am so excited about the new year! This could be the year we get our precious daughter Khloe. Looking back on 2011 it has been an amazing year! God has shown us so much this year! He has done so much in our lives and the lives of those around us! It has been an amazing adventure as God led us to adopt a daughter from China. I can not wait to see how He continues this journey! What a joy to know that He still can use a sinner like me to be a part of His perfect plan. Stepping out in faith has been a big change for us. Not that we did not have faith before but confirming our faith with action and knowing that the results of this act will only be accomplished through God's power has grown our faith tremendously.  We are saved by grace through faith, but "you see, our faith and actions worked together. Our actions made our faith complete." (James 2:22 NLT) Eric and I know that simply acting on our faith has been the difference we needed. We had been "normal" too long and longed to do something more that would make a difference in a life forever. We are not perfect and often ask God how we are going to take care of another child. We question are we good enough parents, will we have enough time for another child, how will our work schedule allow this, and will the finances for the adoption come through? My head seems to ask these questions but my heart and soul know the answer. It is a resounding YES! God will provide "ALL our needs from his glorious riches which have been given to us in Christ Jesus." (Phil.4:19) So, with all that being said I got an idea from another blogger to have a word of the year. So my word for the year is FAITH. God grow my faith, my husband's faith, and my children's faith. Show us Your mighty hand at work in our lives and the lives of those around us. May we bear witness to our faith through our actions and our commitment to You. We love you Father, we want to dedicate this year and the rest of our lives to You. May our FAITH grow and grow as we become closer to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Show us Your will, teach us Your ways, and light our path with Your word for all of our days!!

Fingerprints!!!!

Fingerprint, or biometrics, appointment went great. They were very efficient and courteous. The man who did my fingerprints was a kind Vietnamese man whose grandfather was Chinese. He was so kind and asked where we would adopt from I told him China. He was so pleased. He told me that he knows there are lots of little girls that need families, and that he thinks what we are doing is such  a special thing. That this will give her a better life with a family that will love her. Crazy how God places the right people in your path at the right time to confirm your steps of faith. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness and encouragement that you sometimes send through complete strangers.! I Love you Lord!! You are so good!

Resigning

Hey all!! Resigning, that was the sermon for today at church. Ofcourse, Billy freaked everyone out announcing he was resigning! But thankfully it was not from the church. There are always things I need to resign from. Today the biggest thing is to resign from my lack of trust in things I cannot see or cannot plan out. I recommit to put my trust and hope in God and the things I cannot plan. He has a plan that I may never know the ins and outs of but my part in that plan is to trust Him and know He is working things out for my good! Thank you Lord for having my best interests in mind. You work ALL things together for my good!!!!

A Wonderful Time to Celebrate!!!!!

I hope you all are enjoying your Christmas break so far. We are!! We have been so busy getting the boys rooms redone for Christmas. We have gotten them new loft and bunkbeds for their rooms. So far they are coming together great!! We painted today and got JM's bed, desk, and chair put together! He loves it!! The smaller boys room is next!! So many things to do but short time to do it. Plus, next week we will be going for our fingerprints for the USCIS application. Shouldn't be long before we have the dossier in China. Pray for Khloe and our family in this busy time!! Enjoy a few Christmas pictures so far!

The Peacock Boys with Santa who knew they were the Peacock Boys!!!!

Nathan, Brayden, John Michael, and Luke with Rudolph.
Nathan gets to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas, a bow and arrow.
It has been so much fun watching the boys light up when we decorated our home and when we talk about what Santa is bringing. But the most incredible thing is that when we ask them what Christmas means to them they all tell us in their own way it is Jesus' birthday from Brayden, we celebrate the coming of our Lord and Saviour from John Michael, and Nathan says it's all about Baby Jesus. And he is right it is ALL about Him! Thank you Jesus for leaving your heavenly home to come to earth in a humble way. You lived for 33 years a life that was sinless and you died a death that was meant for the worst of criminals. Yet you were innocent, blameless, and perfect. You were God's Holy Lamb! Only you could pay the price of a debt you did not owe. And I thank you my Lord for your birth and death to save a sinner like me. Yes, Jesus Christmas is all about You! Help us to remember that always!!

So off we go to Atlanta to have this done in a week or so. Then we will wait for the official approval (I-800) to come!! After that certification and authentication (second set to Houston Consulate) then we can send everything to China!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! We are still waiting on the fingerprint appointment pray it will be here soon. We sent everything to USCIS on 11/10 so it has almost been 4 weeks! I would love to have everything sent to the Houston Consulate by the end of the year! It looks like I will not make my original deadline of everything to China by 2011 but God has a plan!! For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
