SOS

We have 14 documents ready to go to the consulate in Houston. YAY!! Only 2 more to send once we get those back then we can send everything to China! The visit to the secretary of states office was interesting. What's hilarious is we had to go to the STATE vital records office to get our birth certificates so the State could certify them. We had to make 2 trips to that office because they did not sign it with an original signature like I requested the first time, then by the end of it 3 trips to the SOS office. Undoubtedly our birth certificates were not official enough coming from the county health department. They are a great office at SOS though enjoyed speaking with them!! One Step Closer, paper chase almost complete. We will see how it goes with the USCIS that could be interesting!! (I hope we have a knowledgeable guide in China we will need it!!)

Hey guys!! We are headed to the Secretary of State's office tomorrow to have our first round of papers certified there. YAY!! I will be sending these next week to the consulate in Houston to be authenticated. We are waiting on our home study approval and then we can apply to the USCIS for immigration approval. One step closer. I am so excited to be getting close to the end of the "paper chase" phase. Hopefully, we will be matched and will travel before anything has to be updated. Please continue to pray for our family and for this process. We pray that if Khloe is born or that if she is in her mother's womb that her needs are being met. Pray for Khloe's biological mom and for her  to know that her child will have a loving home one day. Phillipians 4:6-7 tells us to, "be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." God, be with Khloe, give her health and security, be with her mother, give her peace and assurance that Khloe will have a loving home. We thank you God for your blessings, we thank you for hearing and answering our requests. We know that you will work this all out in your time. We love you Father and thank you for your faithfulness. Amen.

Wild Olive Tee Fundraiser

I am so excited to be offering a fundraiser on line!!!! Our family has been accepted as a Featured Family for Wild Olive Tees. This is an awesome opportunity for us and you too. They offer awesome tee shirts in trendy designs with scripture on the back. Please consider buying one of these tee shirts, they are GREAT! Our family will get $7.50 per tee if we sell 1-49 or $10 per tee if we sell 50 or more!! Please check out this website at http://store.wildolivetees.com/adoption-fundraiser-tees-c6.aspx. When you purchase a tee shirt (I know you will because you will love these shirts, they are cute and they testify!) you must input our Family Code: PEACOCK0923. During the checkout process, there will be a coupon code option under the shopping cart. You will click on that box and it will open the coupon code field up in the left hand corner. That is where the code is applied.  It would not hurt if you mention the family code, or our last name, in the comment section when placing your order(though not a necessity! )This code will NOT provide a discount on the Adoption fundraiser Tees. The code will be used solely to help them track our sales for our Fundraising efforts. Please, Please, Please take a peek at this site, they are really cute and this company has such giving hearts!! They are 3 adoptive mothers with a passion for orphans and they also donate a percent of their proceeds to two special organizations An Orphan's Wish and 60 Feet. Please buy a shirt I just bought two!! I will wear them to church and around so you can see how great they are! I think there are four things we can all do that will promote God's word: Read His Word~Remember His Word~Teach our Children His Word~Wear His Word.
Thank you for your prayers and we would so appreciate your support of this online fundraiser!! We Give God ALL the Glory!!!!

Waiting

Whew, what a day!! I have had a full day today!!! Tending to a sick boy, working on adoption documents, scanning, emailing, copying documents, and ofcourse the regular daily tasks (washing clothes, picking up the house, etc.). And to think, this was my day off! I almost have all my documents ready for the Secretary of States office. Hopefully, I will make that trip next week. Ofcourse, I will be driving the papers up there; too much sweat, tears, and love put into these papers to let them go alone!!!! We should be getting our home study approval soon and then we can file for immigration approval. I have to have our first set of papers to the Houston Consulate by the second week in October. Pray I can get this done. It should be enough time!! It may take 8 weeks to get the USCIS approval for immigration,Lord, I will be patient and worship while I wait!!!! pray this will be quicker. I am prepared to wait but am so excited to be able to get this part finalized. I know this will happen in His timing and not my own so I will try to be patient!

Lord, help me to be patient and to worship while I wait!!!

My Boys!!!

Our social worker met with my children and husband yesterday to do their interviews, needless to say I think it was interesting!! My boys are pretty subdued in public and mind very well but at home they can get a little wild! From what I hear they entertained her pretty well! One of the first things they did was show her our picture of our good friend's daughter from China. Then I think Nathan, the 3 year old, did kung-fu moves all over the place and my Brayden, our 6 year old, did flips for  her! I hope we are still gonna get a little girl! I think all in all it went very well. Thank you for your prayers, and keep praying!!!! We are another baby step closer Khloe, hold on we are coming!

He Knows Her

We had a great visit with our social worker yesterday! We are so excited to be getting this part underway!! We ask you to pray that our Khloe will have good care takers during her time in China. We are praying that she has enough nourishment and attention from those taking care of her. We pray that God gives her the assurance that she will one day have a family to love her. We do not know who Khloe is yet but we talk about her and pray for her all the same. We know God knows her and has a plan for her even if she has not been born yet. We know HE knows her name, the number of hairs on her head, and the family HE has destined to be hers. Thank you God for your attention to every detail of our lives and the lives that have yet to be made. There are no illegitimate children; You know us all, You love us all, You made us all, and You have plans for us all!!! Praise You Father!
