Waiting for RA

Been a while since I have posted! We have had a lot going on in the Peacock family! Please be in prayer for Eric's mom and grandfather. Both have been very sick and need continued prayers! We are still waiting on Khloe's referral approval from China. According to our family coordinator, it should be approved by China within the next week or so. As soon as we get that, I will send our I-800 to the USCIS and DS230 to America World. If you are interested in this process, I will be glad to discuss anything with you! This has been a long process but will be sooo worth it! Please pray for our Khloe. She is in an orphanage in China and doesn't know yet that her family is trying desperately to come get her. All she knows is life as an orphan so this will be totally foreign to her in more than one way. It is hard to imagine a child who has never known the love of parents and family. To think of a baby that may not be having all its needs met or feeling the security of a stable home and family. I can not help but think of all the children in the U.S. and around the world that need the security and love of a family. God created families and He is the father to the fatherless, but He has also called us to be the fathers to the fatherless. We are to reach out to those who have no family and be their family. God may not call us all to adopt but he has called us all to support adoption. There are many ways to be an advocate for adoption. Help support adoption by sending money to specific orphanages, volunteer locally or overseas in adoption or foster care programs, support families who are adopting or have adopted financially or in some other way, and open your heart and arms to a child who needs a family. There are so many scriptures referring to adoption in the Bible. Many I have shared on our Scripture page in this blog, but my favorite is James 1:27, "Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." If we would just get a hold of God's heart for adoption and reach out to an orphan or fatherless child what would our world look like?
